Jobs & Economy - Chris wants to get the government out of the way. He believes that the taxed in New York are to high and believe they should be lowered. He believes that we should work with low health care cost.
National Deficit/Debt - Chris believes that we spend way to much on national debt. He believe money could be used to create a “private sector stimulus” through investment, business development and consumer spending. Saying that we need to move more quickly to balance this out.
Healthcare Reform - Chris understands that the cost of Health Care for families and small business is hard for them to get a quality coverage.He will work to enact meaningful reforms which will encourage private sector competition, tort reform and the development of health insurance cooperatives. One of the ideas is to allow a person or families to get out of state health insurance.
Chris Gibson is for congress. He grew up in Columbia county in the town of Kinderhook. He was in the army for 24 years. While in the army he rose to the rank of Colonel and was deployed 7 times. He also taught American Politics at the United States Military Academy at West point. With that serving as a Congressional Fellow with US Representative Jerry Lewis (R-CA), the Chairman of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, and completing a Hoover National Security Affairs Fellowship at Stanford University. He had received 2 legions of Merit, 4 Bronze Star Medals, the purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman’s badge with Star, the Master Parachutist Badge and the Ranger Tab. Chris holds an MPA and PhD in Government from Cornell University and is the author of Securing the State, a book on national security decision-making published in 2008.

Economy - Scott want to save the economy. He believes in common-sense policies that respect the need for conservation, commerce, recreation, and hunting. He wants to make the economy more energy independent.
Health Care - Scott supports the Health Care reform.
Scott Murphy was chosen to represent the New York 20th District. It was from a special election back in March 31, 2009. After he went to Harvard University, he moved to New York State to start his own company while living at home. While doing this he spent his time building small businesses and makeing jobs. Murphy was also an aide to Governor Mel Carnahan and as Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Roger Wilson of Missouri. Scott decided to use his small business experience to help others realize their bussiness dreams by joining venture capital firm Advantage Capital Partners in 2001. This allowed Scott to grow small businesses, and develop good-paying, high tech jobs across upstate New York. Throughout his career, Scott has helped to create over 1,000 jobs.
